Concerned about the proposed adoption of a one size fits all approach to race equality, the following parliamentary briefing from Equanomics UK, in conjunction with the Centre for Local Policy Studies, Race on the Agenda and the Runnymede Trust, details concerns around the adequacy of measures aimed at the promotion of race equality. In the context of public sector cuts and the failure of public sector bodies to comply with the public sector duty, the authors of the briefing have misgivings about the impact on the ability of BME people to challenge discrimination or access justice.
